Article title

Human vertical posture mechanisms modeling

Abstract (resume)

The paper reports of the fracrtal dimensionality analysis performed on a group of 184 healthy volunteers aged 18 up to 21. Within the framework of the "open-loop" and "close-loop" model, suggested by Collins J. J. and others. There were discovered two mechanisms of vertical posture support on time intervals of 0.20–0.50 s and 1.01–1.20 s. It is proved that the low Hurst exponent readings on time intervals 0.20–0.50 s correspond to much higher activity of the postural muscles. That could be explained by the fact that better trained muscles require less effort to preserve and support the vertical posture.
